About the Artist

I started CircleRosse handcrafted cribbage boards to share what came out of the love of our father. My father grew up learning the game of cribbage and was exceptionally good at the game. He could count the cards accurately before we could even lay our hand down on the table. He taught all six of us boys how to play.

While we grew up, he always played the guitar at our campouts and during special occasions and during the Columbus Day storm that hit in Oregon in the late 60’s.

When my father passed, I thought of making something for my 8 siblings for the following Christmas in honor of our father. For all my brothers and brothers-in-laws I came up with these guitar cribbage boards which brought many memories of my father since he enjoyed cribbage and music.

These guitar cribbage boards are made to order as they are precious to those who have an interest in cribbage and music. This being the case it takes approximately two weeks to create and come with a deck of cards to match the design, Electric and Acoustic guitars (see photos on home page).

As an artist I had to come up with a unique package to know that the one who receives these unique hardwood cribbage boards know that a precious art piece is awaiting their enjoyment with family and friends. That is why I came up with the crate and wood filling to protect the cribbage boards during travel. The feel that it is a priceless, time lasting museum piece.

To display this in your home I have created the maple hardwood display stand to match the maple hardwood playing card box.

The unique playing cards also need a home and the maple hardwood playing card box was designed with the word cribbage across the top to display with your guitar cribbage board, so you are always ready to play cribbage. This maple box matches the display stand.
